Brief

Chelsea FC were operating on an aged system of mixed brands and sizes of washers and dryers. The results were poor and the laundry staff struggled to process the capacity due to under sized equipment. The dryers suffered errors and drying issues due to airflow issues. The wash results were less than impressive.

Solution

OPL Limited supplied and installed 3no. 20kg high spin Electrolux washers and 3no. 19kg Electrolux industrial tumble dryers as the largest that could be transported to the basement laundry. We carried out alterations to the dryers ducting and fresh air ventilation to improve airflow.

We supplied an ozone laundry system to allow low temperature gentle processing which would not only make substantial savings on running costs and provide infection control but the gentle process would protect the sports kit and prolongs the life of the textiles. To compliment the new low temperature ozone laundry system we installed the latest dosing systems and supplied low temperature destainers and high grade laundry products.
